Do you currently have any lymph nodes that are enlarged? If so, then let the new oncologist know about them. If you do not have any (that you know of) then the new oncologist will/should do a complete body check of the primary lymph nodes(neck, armpits, groin area, elbows,knees). All that entails is he or she going over those areas with their hand. They should also feel/check your spleen. A good idea to is to do some research for yourself regarding the lymphatic system and how it works in our bodies. Whatever information or questions you have be sure and ask your new oncologist. Can anyone describe the feeling of deep neck lymph nodes? I have been having chronic fluid in my right ear forever it seems....as in months. It never really seems to drain at all but really doesn't get infected often. I have recently been feeling something in my neck on that side that feels as if something is 'rolling' across another structure inside my neck. My ear canal seems narrow and my sinus on that side feels stuffed up. I think I may have a lymph node blocking the tube draining my ear. I have a dr appt with my MD Monday and have told him about the ear issue and he has checked it every time and said it's got fluid but not pink or anything. I would like to discuss this further with him but would like to hear from you guys./Love, CleverGirl
