Members overwhelmingly validated the experience of feeling cold all the time after leukemia diagnosis and treatment, with many sharing that doctors attributed it to anemia, low blood counts, weight loss, or as a normal side effect of chemotherapy and medications like Sprycel, Gleevec, and Imatinib. Several members described practical strategies that helped them cope, including wearing fingerless gloves or jackets indoors, using electric blankets and rechargeable hand warmers, taking hot showers or baths, walking on a treadmill to generate warmth, and sitting in the sun. A recurring theme was the unpredictable nature of temperature regulation, with many experiencing wild swings between freezing cold and sweating hot, sometimes accompanied by night sweats and fatigue, though most found these challenges manageable even if frustrating.

Yes, I'm cold all the time.My oncology said it's from being anemic . So there it is. Grab a sweater and stay warm. Hugs help too.

I find that if I get chilled it takes me along time to warm up. It's better lately, I've been on treatment for over 5 year. My thermostat of late is back to normal, but it can all change tomorrow for no reason. I find it's something I can live with, not a big deal for me.--jmb

Sometimes I get cold for no reason too. I don't know if it's one of the side effects from chemo, but the fatigue factor sure is. It's been 2 years for me since my last treatment and I still get tired doing the simplest things. When i get cold, I just take a nap with a nice warm blanket over me and in a few hours, I'm good as new.
