To remain in remission

I pray daily for continued remission and good health. I have been in remission for almost a year and a half. I guess I have a hard time with the term cancer patient. I feel as though I WAS a cancer patient as past tense. The last year was and a half has been a whirlwind of emotions between the Diagnosis and the treatment and the transplant and having to spend months away from my 8 year little boy. But for me it feels like it was all worth it to be cancer free!
