Extreme fatigue in people with CLL can be due to anemia or the leukemia itself. Here are some points to consider:

- Anemia: CLL can cause anemia by affecting the bone marrow, where red blood cells are produced. Symptoms of anemia include fatigue, weakness, and shortness of breath. A blood test can diagnose anemia, and treatments may include iron supplements or blood transfusions.

- CLL: Fatigue is a common symptom of CLL itself, even without anemia. It can be due to the disease or its treatments.
