Has anyone had high wbc, high inflammation, an anemic before being diagnosed with Leukemia? My doctor ordered 3 sessions of iron infusion, 1x week for 3 weeks. If bloodwork does not show any improvement, he will do a bone marrow biopsy.
Thanks Donna. I just finished my 3rd Iron Infusion this past week. I have not noticed a difference in the fatigue yet. I have a follow-up appt with my hemotologist on Nov. 30th. Not sure why he is waiting so long to see me. I'm getting alittle frustrated with all of this as my high wbc, rdw%, c-reactive protein and ers has been high for a few years now and my primary didn't do anything about it. I had viral meningitis back in May and when I had a follow-up with my infectious disease dr he ran bloodwork again which was high so referred me to the hemotologist.
Can't remember my WBC reading 🤔 but after the bone marrow biopsy they determined I had CML. They then put me on Sprycel 100mg it was causing me all kinds of problems so they dropped it down to 80mg and that is working well. I still have all kinds of pains and exhaustion but I'm alive.I wish you all the best just know there are a lot of people who care and are here for you ❤️
What was your WBC reading? What was the result of the Bone Marrow Biopsy?
In two days I go for my 2nd Iron Infusion.
Yes right away
Did you have the bone marrow biopsy yet?
