Sensitive subject to many Susan. I've had CLL for 9 yrs..even prior to my diagnosis I did not get flu shots and chose not to get vaccinated when the 2020 flu arrived. For me...injecting anything into my system of that nature works against my already compromised immune system. We all have our thoughts on the matter, so whatever one wishes to do, is their decision and choice. Thankfully, my oncologist and also my family members (who most of them have gotten the vaccination) have not held that against me...they all have respected my decision as it is, after all, my body and choice.
No we are not getting the booster, however, it is really important you do your own risk/benefit analysis regarding what is best for you.
Hello soultime that’s one question I’m going to ask my Dr when I see him Friday Hope all is well God Bless Take care
I just got my yearly flu shot and will definitely get the Covid shot when it becomes availble. Having had Covid and flu, any possible help is greatly appreciated.
Most immunizations are not effective with a compromised immune system. Despite all vaccinations, I’ve had shingles, pneumonia, Covid and I’ve received all the shots for these.
