I would. One of the things I have been faced with given my CLL diagnosis is an immune system that's not up to snuff. Wear a mask, better safe than sorry. And here's wishing you a merry Christmas ๐๐๐

Should you wear a mask in public after a CLL/SLL diagnosis?
Yes, wearing a mask in public is recommended, especially in certain situations. People with CLL have a weakened immune system due to both the disease itself and treatments, which puts them at higher risk for infections.
Here are some guidelines for mask-wearing:
* Wear N95 masks indoors and in crowded environments
* Maintain social distancing when possible
* Take extra precautions even if you're vaccinated against COVID-19, as vaccination doesn't offer full protection when you have CLL
* Consider getting medical advice before attending crowded events, particularly if you're currently in treatment
The risk of infection increases the longer you live with CLL, and infections can be life-threatening. Wearing a mask is one simple but important step to protect your health alongside other precautions like frequent handwashing and staying up to date with vaccines.
Talk with your healthcare team about specific situations in your daily life and when mask-wearing is most important for you.
