I have CLL and I was told I was going to live 5 years. I take medication that will be good at controlling those bad cells for 10 to 20 years. In the past my medication stated it was only good for 3 to 5 years. I see there are two medications which can control CMML and benefit your health. Doctors talk about "treatments" but I think this is chemo with ill affects to the whole body which can be stressful. All medications come with possible ill affects but the medication drugs mainly focuses on those bad cells. Our illness is a long term problem and another illness may be our big future problem.
