Husband diagnosed a year ago, no symptoms, no med needed. He has gained five pounds over the winter, (unusual for him) and recently had bouts of vertigo upon rising in the morning. Continues to walk about three miles daily.

Hi Peg. May or may not be related. I’ve had CLL for 10 yrs, no meds thankfully & have not experienced vertigo. Has he seen & told his regular doctor about it? May want to start there to rule out things like inner ear issues, neck issues, dehydration, anemia, eye issues, etc. I used to live in Appleton a long time ago! Sure it has changed a lot in the past 45 years right?!
Can dizziness in the morning be a symptom of CLL progression?
Dizziness can be related to CLL, though it's not typically described as happening specifically in the morning. Low red blood cell counts (anemia) from CLL can cause dizziness along with fatigue and shortness of breath.
