What symptoms are you experiencing with your spleen?

While waiting for bone marrow biopsy results can be stressful, it's important to know when to contact your doctor. You should reach out if you're experiencing:

- Fever
- Continued or excessive bleeding from the biopsy site
- Unusual discharge from the insertion site
- Severe pain at the needle insertion point after the first day or two
- Pain that doesn't improve or continues for more than five days

Some mild discomfort, tingling down the back of your legs, or bruising around the biopsy site is normal and may last a couple of days. Cold compresses or over-the-counter pain relievers like acetaminophen or ibuprofen can help.

If you're experiencing new symptoms related to your spleen or anything that concerns you, it's best to contact your doctor right away rather than waiting for your results. They can evaluate whether what you're experiencing needs immediate attention.

I have never had a sample taken for testing except blood. I just learned from a new doctor my spleen is enlarged which my previous doctors never told me? I hope someone can help you with your pain?
