Apparently Eli Lily, in their infinite wisdom has switched from capsules to pills for Brukinsa (Zanubrutinib). This has caused me alot of upset stomach and my Onc's only advice is to take Ondansatron with it - more pills! I think Lily is just squeezing more money out of a drug to the detriment of patients. Anyone else finding this?

Hi Jo6, we are all affected differently. Been on Brukinsa capsules since Oct 2024 until about March 2026 and was surprised by change to pills. Capsules had cause so much discomfort and pains until pills were given to me.
I never had a problem with the capsules or the pill. Since October my dose have been reduced 50%. I have been taking 1/2 pill in the morning & evening with no problems and my blood test has been 100% normal.
wow, for me it was the capsules that added pains (nerves, stomach and spine) at different times. Two months ago was switched from Brukinsa capsules to pills. have been a whole lot better.
Agreed. It's tough to delineate cause or cure? Especially as we age since that age adds a plethora of possible new diagnoses. The way our medical system is designed now, I'm close to believing we're better off knowing nothing and just living for the day.
I just watched a very good series called FDR. What an inspiration and will we ever have leaders like he an Churchill again?
The one certain thing about Leukemia is it's uncertain...As for capsules---many of those come empty from China and we all know what's going on with tariff's--could be the reason OR capsules prevent the level of absorption needed--I'm sure that with all the meds we take our stomach acids vary too. But to your point, we all respond differently--I once had a Dr on rounds when I was in the hospital, it was a tough few days for physical and family reasons--she said, I know what you're going through---I looked her in the eyes and said no Dr you don't--until you have this disease and these circumstances you don't know--you might suppose but you don't know---there are patterns that you work from, however for every pattern there are 100 variances. we are unique. That's why we say---note, don't assume, ask, research----Hope things turn around a bit for you! Huge hugs, Michele
