My question is has anybody experienced unexplained muscle issues since their diagnosis of C LL?

That sounds like a really frightening experience — a hemoglobin of 3.6 is dangerously low, and it's great that you got the care you needed. Autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) is actually a known complication of CLL, so you're not alone in dealing with both.

Yes, muscle issues are something others with CLL have talked about. A MyLeukemiaTeam member shared that they experienced a lot of muscular pain, particularly at night. Others have noted that CLL seems to amplify any existing pain or discomfort in the body. Some of the muscle-related symptoms connected to CLL can stem from:

- Anemia — low red blood cell levels reduce oxygen delivery to muscles, causing weakness and fatigue
- Fatigue — a deep, persistent tiredness that doesn't improve with rest, which can feel physical and muscular
- General malaise — an overall feeling of being unwell that can include body aches

It's really worth mentioning any muscle symptoms to your doctor, especially given your recent hospitalization. They can help figure out whether it's linked to your CLL, your anemia, or something else entirely worth addressing.
