6 weeks of loose bowel. Oncologist when asked said "old nan disease". Not impressed with this statement. Trying probiotcs, metamucil and diet remedies without much luck. I have had diverticulitis in the past...but that resulted in constipation.

Members responded with empathy and practical advice to someone dealing with six weeks of ongoing diarrhea alongside CLL, with the most common suggestion being to see a gastroenterologist rather than self-treating at home. Several members shared their own experiences, including one who had been dealing with similar symptoms for two months while on Calquence and venetoclax, and another who noted that Calquence can list diarrhea as a side effect, with a doctor recommending Imodium AD for short-term relief. A recurring theme was encouraging the original poster to advocate for themselves and not settle for dismissive responses from their care team.

Those bad cells seem to attack all places in the body. I had read a posting that an MRI found lymph nodes gland in the intestine which was odd but this was caused by CLL causing enlargement or lymph node?

I think you should find as gastroenterologist and see want they think.

Duane,
The comments the consultant made to you really annoyed me, I have recently changed consultants and feel I have had a win, I was asking to do home treatment and it wasn’t going to happen , I asked my new consultant about home treatment and I start it on the 30th of October.
What I’m saying here is, if you’re not happy with your consultant find another.
You wouldn’t take the first quote from a painter you would shop around

Hello DuaneMC. When I started Calquence, my hematologist said diarrhea could be a side effect. He recommended Imodium AD. I don't suggest using it long term, just temporary so you can leave the house. Please contact your provider because you don't want to get dehydrated or other issues. Hope you get issue resolved soon.

Would definitely get an appointment with a/your gastroenterologist Duane. Also, best not to self diagnose what is going on and to not use/take what you’re taking. Could do more damage than good. So, call your gastroenterologist on Monday ok
