Hi John806. From what I understand I do not think it is unusual for a person (myself included) to have had CLL a few years before being diagnosed.

Hi John...no, I don't think you are over thinking at all. I think you are right about your disease process and all the pieces to the puzzle are falling into place.
As far as physicians staying on top of all our healthcare issues, well the sad part is they don't! They have too many patients and spend less time than ever with those patients. My past primary care doctor knew and treated my entire family...parents and inlaws included.. He knew everything about us and could name things without looking at our charts. Sadly, those days are over. We must stay on top of our own health and know our lab values. Our lives depend on it!

CLL also affects many other health conditions. Skin Cancers are at the top of the list! We’re supposed to get checked by Derms a minimal of every six month’s.. I am a Melanoma Survivor, as well.. (Plenty of new spots to be checked…) Usually, the CLL causes Basal Cell & Squamous Cell, Carcinomas… Only good physicians notice when WBC’s & Lymphocytes are getting out of hand… So much is overlooked as a Simple Infection w/elevated WBC’s… Blood Cancers affect our Skin, eyes, bones, joints, teeth, gums, all body Systems… as blood runs through every organ in our body… HTG, We must teach the Docs everything they truly do NOT KNOW OR UNDERSTAND… It truly AMAZES me???

Not Overthinking… Simply ON TARGET 🎯 Please keep all appointments & ask the difficult questions… You know ur Body… You’ve helped others.. .Please stay vigilant w/your own health… Make yourself clear, It’s your Body, u are a Nurse, you know when something is Questionable!
