Sorry to hear about your bouts with sepsis. I am a 4-year AML survivor having had a transplant 4 years ago. Interestingly, I only had sepsis once, but it was 5 years before my AML diagnosis. I often wonder if this was a harbinger of things to come. Just to let Samantha know, sepsis can be caused by many different bacteria once they get into the blood stream. There is no antibiotic specifically for sepsis. The bacteria causing it needs to be identified and then the sepsis can be treated with the antibiotic appropriate for it. I hope you feel better soon and that they can find out why you are so susceptible to sepsis.
Good luck with getting over this and have a great holiday season!
Shari
So sorry you are going through these bouts with sepsis. All you can do is follow what your doctors say and do your best. I have a friend who takes an antiviral her doctor gave her to keep viruses and things at bay. Maybe you should ask your doc if that would work for you.
Keeping you in my thoughts. Keep
Up the good fight. You can do it!!!
Praying for you...have no knowledge of what's causing this in your life...breaks my heart that you are having to deal with this as well as our other condition.
Thank you
