Maybe get a second opinion. I had a BMT at age 72 and know that now they ae being done for patients in their early 80's. Has your husband been seen at Memorial Sloan Kettering? I live on long Island and though there is traffic and cold weather in the winter, I still love it and appreciate the ocean and beaches.

Staten Island. The city is not what it used to be snd we want to move south too but for now it’s still a dream .

Unfortunately he is not a transplant candidate due to age, 78 y/o.
Thongs aren't looking well for him right now. He is currently in the hospital because of a change in his mental status. All signs point to his AML affecting his CNS. Waiting to have a spinal tap to confirm suspicion.
