My younger brother was in avionics too on the F4. He died of multiple myloema. I was a plane captain and mechanic on the OV-10. About 10 years ago, my WBC were gradually going up. 7 years was diagnosed with monoclonal B cell lymphocytes. Now I have CLL.
I had thought about this concern? I worked around A-7 doing avionics for VA-304. This ended in 1976 so I did not have a big exposure. I think the exhaust products were probably worst than the fuel. I had a friend whose job for a year was fueling jets on the Enterprise. The flight deck is busy so people were colors to identify what task they are doing. The fuel crew wear purple so people called them "grapes." There are possible other things we come in contact with which could cause health concerns? My career with the University of California doing research exposed me too radioactive and toxic materials. I had annual physicals which did not detect any health problems? I did learn that because I was a jogger my lung capacity exceeded 4 liters (I think the maximum measured by the test machine was 4 liters.) All this summer I was thinking about returning to the gym but I seem to get good exercise doing my tasks at the property. I hope you have success with your question?
Yeah, benzene, arsenic and formaldehyde
If it's got benzene in it!!!
