I have not had a bone marrow biopsy. I had all the routine tests (CBC, FISH test, etc,. etc.) when diagnosed. I get CBCs done every 6 months and meet with my hematologist-oncologist. I am at stage 0 with no symptoms and hope it stays that way!

After my diagnosis in Dec 2022 the oncologist sent me for bone marrow biopsy and PET scan before treatment began. I after I got a second opinion he waited seven months before treatment. I’ve been on Brukinsa about 9 months now. Blood work is improving and swollen nodes are gone, still have a lot of highlighted areas on the blood work with the CBC.

Thanks Stephen. I just feel my hematologist/oncologist wants me to go to too many specialists when my CLL is not at the drug therapy stage.

Hi Stephen, I was just prescribed Brunkinsa to treat my CLL today. How has it been for you so far? Feel any different or any side affects? Thank you and wish you well!.

I had low platelets. My doctor was sure it had to be something other than the cll causing it. Bone marrow proved it was the cll all along. Started treatment 10 days ago with Brukinsa.
