It sounds like the CNA noticed some classic signs that are commonly associated with leukemia. The symptoms you're describing are very much in line with what many people experience, and it's worth taking seriously.
Here's a breakdown of how each symptom connects:
- Low platelets — Leukemia can interfere with normal blood cell production in the bone marrow, leading to low platelet counts, which affects clotting
- Anemia — When abnormal leukemia cells take over the bone marrow, fewer healthy red blood cells are produced, causing anemia
- Bone pain — Abnormal white blood cells filling the bone marrow can cause swelling and pain in bones and joints
- Night sweats — This is a commonly reported early symptom among people with leukemia The most important next step is to see a doctor as soon as possible if you haven't already. A simple blood test called a Complete Blood Count (CBC) is usually the first step in evaluating these symptoms. It measures red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets, giving doctors a clearer picture of what's going on.
Please don't wait on this — early attention really does matter. 💙
