Members shared several practical tips for finding diarrhea relief, especially for those living with CLL. Several members recommended over-the-counter options like Imodium AD, as well as a natural supplement called Banatrol Plus, which can be mixed with juice and ordered online. A recurring theme was the importance of telling your cancer doctor about ongoing diarrhea, since dehydration can become serious, and one member found relief simply by adjusting their medication dose and switching to a low-FODMAP diet.

Dealing with diarrhea during leukemia treatment is no fun, but there are some practical steps that may help bring relief.

Here are some dietary tips to consider:

- Stick to low-fiber foods like white bread, pasta, and canned fruit
- Avoid spicy foods, caffeine, alcohol, and dairy products
- Try foods with sodium or potassium, like bananas, applesauce, soup, and peeled boiled potatoes, to replace lost nutrients
- Avoid strong-smelling foods that can further upset your stomach A few other helpful habits to keep in mind:

- After eating, stay upright rather than lying down — this helps food move through your digestive system
- Stay well hydrated, but avoid caffeine and alcohol as these can worsen dehydration
- Talk to your care team about how much water you should be drinking daily

It's always a good idea to ask your oncologist or hematologist for a referral to a registered dietitian. They can put together a personalized plan that works with your specific treatment. If diarrhea persists or becomes severe, let your medical team know right away.

My family was too poor for this problem? I had read my medication for CLL might have this ill affect but it never happened? Plus during the past few years no illness like flu or seasonal sickness? Common diarrhea pills work for my wife which I buy all the time.
