Monocyte levels can fluctuate due to various factors, especially in the context of leukemia. Here are some key points:

- Infection Response: Monocytes are activated during infections to destroy invading germs, which can cause temporary increases.
- Leukemia: In conditions like chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) and acute myelomonocytic leukemia (AMML), monocyte levels can be persistently high due to abnormal production in the bone marrow.
- Treatment Effects: Chemotherapy and other treatments can impact monocyte levels, either increasing or decreasing them.

If you notice significant fluctuations in your monocyte levels, it's important to discuss this with your healthcare provider to understand the underlying cause and appropriate management.

Yes. That's what my doctor said too. It turned out that my monocytes increased due to getting the COVID booster. My monocytes are now back to normal. Thanks for your reply
